The Spine Bookshop is an independent bookstore dedicated to connecting readers with the perfect book, whether they know what they’re looking for or not. It champions local and independently published authors while creating a welcoming, inclusive space for the community. With a passion for stories and advocacy against censorship, the shop is as much a cultural hub as it is a place to discover your next favorite read.

History

Founded in 20024

The Spine Bookshop began with a simple but powerful idea: books should be for everyone, and everyone deserves to feel seen, represented, and excited about reading. What started as a passion for stories and community quickly grew into a mission-driven space focused on uplifting local and independently published authors while helping people rediscover (or discover for the first time) a love of reading.

Along the way, the shop has become more than just a bookstore—it’s a gathering place. Through events, author partnerships, and advocacy work against censorship and book banning, The Spine Bookshop has carved out a role as both a literary hub and a voice for access to diverse stories.

Today, the journey continues with a growing community of readers, writers, and supporters who believe in the power of books to connect, challenge, and inspire.
