Through Designs by Sylvanye Teaching Studio, you're provided access to professional tools and guidance so people, especially those who think they aren’t creative can discover and develop their artistic abilities.

Our purpose is to help others reconnect with creativity, build self-worth, and leave with something meaningful they made themselves.

Designs by Sylvanye Teaching Studio is based in Smyrna, Tennessee, serving the greater Nashville and Middle Tennessee area through in-studio workshops and creative experiences.

While many of our students come from Rutherford County and surrounding communities, we also welcome individuals who travel from across the United States, and internationally, including Canada to train at our studio.

In addition, we provide on-site workshops and travel out of state to teach, allowing us to serve a broader and growing audience.

History

Founded in 2003

Designs by Sylvanye Teaching Studio grew out of a lifelong love of art and hands-on creating. Over the years, I developed my work across multiple mediums, including kiln-formed glass, precious metal clay, and laser design, creating handcrafted pieces and sharing them with others. As I connected with people, I began to notice that many were just as interested in learning how to create as they were in the finished work.

That insight led me to begin teaching, with a focus on helping people, especially those who believed they weren’t creative, build confidence and discover their abilities. What began as a small, personal effort has grown into a creative teaching studio where individuals can learn, explore, and work with professional tools in a supportive environment.

Today, I continue to grow the studio, welcoming both local and out-of-state students while expanding the range of creative experiences I offer.
